Washington State women’s basketball has won the Pac-12 tournament for the first time in school history, dispatching No. 19 UCLA 65-61.

The Cougars were the 7-seed in the Pac-12 tournament, downing some of the top teams in the country to get here. They beat Cal, Utah, Colorado and UCLA on their way to the title, all of which are currently ranked except Cal.

How about it?

Bella Murekatete and Charlisse Leger-Walker were the stars of the show Sunday. They combined to score 44 points, with no other Cougars player scoring 10. Leger-Walker led all scorers with 23.

The Cougars will appear in the NCAA Tournament for the 3rd straight season following their win Sunday. It’s just their 4th appearance all-time.
