Washington State basketball suffers decommitment following Pac-12 realignment
Washington State basketball suffered its first of potentially many setbacks as a result of the departure of 5 more Pac-12 programs in conference realignment.
Utah, Arizona State and Arizona all opted to leave the Pac-12 and will join the Big 12 in 2024. Oregon and Washington will do the same with the Big Ten.
On Sunday, Wazzu hoops commit Adam Njie announced that he will reopen his recruitment following the news, citing the lack of stability within the Pac-12 per Joe Tipton of On3Sports.

Njie committed to Wazzu in May of this year, choosing the Cougars over the likes of Seton Hall, Arizona State, Mississippi State and Miami.
The 3-star PG out of Cardinal Hayes in The Bronx is considered to be the No. 144 prospect in the country, as well as the No. 14 PG and No. 7 player out of New York.
Washington State currently holds 1 commitment in the 2024 cycle from unranked combo guard Marcus Wilson.
