Powell will now go through the pre-draft process, but can still return to Washington State next season if he withdraws from the draft prior to the deadline. In the interim, he’ll be able to receive feedback from teams and get a better idea of where his draft stock currently stands.
Powell is coming off of a breakout year for the Cougars. He averaged 10.4 points per game while shooting an impressive 42.6% from 3-point range. Listed at 6-foot-6, Powell also has good size for his position.
Washington State is Powell’s 3rd program. He began his career at Auburn and then spent the 2021-22 season at Tennessee.
The deadline for Powell to withdraw his name from the 2023 NBA Draft and still maintain collegiate eligibility is May 31.
