Jonah Advincula, A Washington State outfielder, was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week Monday following a spectacular opening weekend for the Cougars. Advincula helped the Cougars get out to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2010, leading Washington State to wins over Villanova and UC Riverside.

Advincula totaled 8 hits, 12 RBI and 2 home runs. His 13 total RBI leads not just the Pac-12, but the nation.

This is Advincula’s first season with the Cougars, having come from Redlands University in California. And so far, it looks like his DI experience is going well.
