Jake Dickert calls for end to College GameDay feud: ‘Let’s move on’
Jake Dickert seems to want to squash the beef between his program and College GameDay. If you didn’t catch it, the Cougars’ coach took offense to a perceived slight of his program by the GameDay crew.
Pat McAfee further ignited the fire on Saturday after saying he was “sick” of hearing about Washington State. On Monday, Dickert took some time to clear the air.
“I’m going to defend our team, I’m going to stand up for the team. I never took back what I said, I took back the absolute tone and how I said it,” explained the coach.
“Let’s move on,” Dickert added. “Cougs, I feel the passion and I love it. Let’s place that passion back on the games.”

The coach is likely more worried about his own team and staying undefeated. The 4-0 Cougars will next face the UCLA Bruins in what should be a hotly-contested Pac-12 matchup.
Dickert’s QB Cameron Ward has been one of the stars of the 2023 season. Ward has thrown for 1,390 yards with 13 TDs and 0 INTs.
