Jackson Cowgill, a 3-star defensive lineman out of Erie, Colorado, has announced a commitment to play in the Pac-12.

The 6-foot-5 and 250 pounder committed to Washington State in an announcement on Thursday on social media. He’s ranked the No. 16 player in the state of Colorado, according to 247Sports, and the No. 137 defensive lineman in America in the Class of 2024.

Cowgill shared with 247Sports how he learned about Wazzu.

“When I was first contacted by the coaching staff at Washington State I was very excited to learn more about the school and opportunities they had as I knew nothing,” Cowgill said. “Once coach Pete Kaligis offered me, it only increased my interest to see what type of school Washington State was. After arriving in Pullman for the first time I was in awe of campus as I have never seen any campus like it before compared to all the places I have visited. After briefly watching practice I got to meet every coach in the program including coach Dickert and they all welcomed me with open arms and were very excited to see me.”
