Big Noon Kickoff had a trick up its sleeve on Saturday in response to its rival program.

On last Saturday’s College GameDay, Pat McAfee infamously proclaimed, “Shut up, Washington State. I’m sick of you.” It was the latest barb in a war of words between the program’s hosts and head coach Jake Dickert, who took exception to Lee Corso calling its game against Oregon State the “Nobody Wants Us Bowl”.

Fast forward to Saturday’s Big Noon Kickoff — on-site in Columbus for Ohio State-Maryland — where Matt Leinart and Mark Ingram had the perfect response. Take a look below as they flew Washington State’s Ol’ Crimson flag:

Ol’ Crimson has been flying on the set of ESPN’s College GameDay for years. McAfee has been criticized heavily for a perceived lack of understanding of the significance of that partnership.

Washington State, currently 4-0, didn’t play in Week 5, but returns to the field on Saturday against UCLA as it looks to remain undefeated and in the discussion for the College Football Playoff.

As for the back-and-forth between Dickert and College GameDay, and between GameDay and Big Noon Kickoff, it remains to be seen what’s next in store.
