WATCH: Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer previews fall camp
Kalen DeBoer thought the first day of Washington’s fall camp was clean.
“What jumps out at you the most—I just told the guys—is even from the last practice in the spring to the practice today, what you see is the efficiency,” he told reporters on Thursday. “We’re getting through all the reps because they know where to line up, they know where to go, that practice hustle leads to good practice habits and everyone’s feeling that trust that the other guy is giving everything they’ve got to make that day flow really well.”
The Husky head coach met with the media to recap Day 1 of fall camp and preview the month ahead. Washington is looking to bounce back from a 4-8 season a year ago. The season begins on Sept. 3 against Kent State at home. DeBoer has quite a bit to sort out between now and then.
