Washington wideout Rome Odunze still undecided on NFL, nearing decision on future
Washington is getting one of its two 1,000-yard receivers back for 2023. The other is still undecided.
Rome Odunze said after Thursday night’s 27-20 win over Texas that he’s still undecided on whether to declare for the 2023 NFL Draft or return to school for another year. But, per The Seattle Times’ Mike Vorel, he’s nearing a decision.
Rome Odunze said after the game that he has not made a decision RE: the NFL draft but he's closing in on that decision.

The 6-foot-3, 201-pound wide receiver from Las Vegas led the Pac-12 in receiving this season with 1,145 yards on 75 receptions. He hauled in seven touchdown receptions as well.
The receiver duo of Odunze and McMillan was deadly for opposing defenses. Both finished top-three in the Pac-12 in yardage and receptions. McMillan, who finished with 1,098 yards, tied Oregon’s Troy Frankling for the Pac-12 lead in touchdown receptions. Among qualified Pac-12 receivers, Odunze and McMillan had the fifth and sixth-best receiving grades this season as well (per Pro Football Focus). No one produced more first downs than either Husky receiver.
And the guy throwing them the football will be back for 2023 as well.
On a radio appearance earlier this month, Odunze said Michael Penix Jr.’s return in 2023 is “crucial to my decision, for sure.”
McMillan said after Thursday night’s win he thinks the 2023 Huskies can challenge for a national title. That goal is certainly more attainable with Odunze in the fold.
