How does a night kick at Martin Stadium for the Apple Cup sound?

The Pac-12 announced kick times and TV designations Sunday morning for games that were initially held for a six-day pick, and the annual rivalry game between the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars was selected for the 7:30 p.m. PT slot on ESPN.

Washington (9-2, 6-2 Pac-12) handled Colorado on Saturday, 54-7, to keep its Pac-12 title hopes alive. The Huskies got a complete performance on the heels of an emotional win over Oregon in Eugene the week prior, which sets up a rivalry showdown with serious implications.

Washington State (7-4, 4-4 Pac-12) picked off Arizona’s Jayden de Laura four times in the second of Saturday’s 31-20 win.

The Cougars broke a string of seven straight Husky wins in the series last year with a 40-13 win in Seattle. That game famously featured de Laura planting a Wazzu flag at midfield inside Husky Stadium. Washington will look to return the favor this time around and win a 10th regular-season game for the first time since 2017.
