Washington showcases 'Husky Royalty' uniform for Week 8
Washington is coming off a dramatic and thrilling win over Oregon in Week 7. As a result, the Huskies are up to 6-0 and No. 5 in the country heading into Week 8.
With Arizona State on deck, Washington is also rolling with an alternate uniform against the Sun Devils. The program has dubbed it the “Husky Royalty” uniform with a magnificent all-purple look.

Starting at the top, the uniform combination includes an all-chrome helmet with a purple shell. A gold facemask, block “W” and a pair of gold chrome helmet stripes adorn the helmet.
The purple jersey also includes gold accents with iridescent names, numbers and shoulder stripes. The purple cleats and gold base also include “Bow Down” details to reinforce the royalty theme.

Anytime a team rolls the dice with an alternate look, there are bound to be various reactions across the board. The all-purple look and extensive chrome accents definitely make a statement for a top-5 program looking to win the Pac-12 and get into the College Football Playoff.
We’ll see if Washington’s play does justice for the uniform on Saturday.
