Washington secures spot in Pac-12 Championship Game with win at Oregon State
Washington will play for the Pac-12 Championship.
With a 22-20 win over No. 11 Oregon State Saturday night in Corvallis, the fifth-ranked Huskies clinched their spot in the conference title game. UW moved to 11-0 with the victory, setting up a chance to cap the program’s second-ever unbeaten regular season next weekend at home in the Apple Cup.
The Pac-12 Championship Game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for a 5 p.m. PT kickoff on Friday, Dec. 1.

The Huskies were tested by the Beavers. UW was held scoreless in the second half, and it ran only 18 total plays in the final 30 minutes of the game. Oregon state played keep-away with the football and forced UW quarterback Michael Penix Jr. to stand on the sideline as a spectator.
But when Penix got his shot late in the game to ice things, he was lethal.
Facing a third-and-3 with 1:58 on the game clock, Washington lined up in an empty set with a bunch to the field and one man to the boundary. The Huskies put the ball in their leader’s hands and told him to deliver a pass to his most trusted option — Rome Odunze.
The unbalanced look created a one-on-one for the UW wideout. Penix threw it at Odunze’s back shoulder. Odunze made the proper adjustment, brought in the pass with ease, and UW moved the sticks. Three more kneel-downs was all it took to cap a hard-fought victory.
Now, Washington will play for its first conference title since 2018.
