Washington remains in top 10 of latest AP Top 25 poll
Washington is ranked No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25, released Sunday.
The Huskies played their closest game of the season Saturday night in the desert, beating Arizona 31-24. But they held firm inside the AP top 10. So did Oregon, which sets up a top-10 showdown in Seattle on Oct. 14.
With both teams ranked among the 10 best in the country, it’ll mark the first modern meeting between the two programs in which both enter as AP Top 10 teams. That’s a fitting backdrop for a game that promises to be one of the best on the college football calendar all year.
The Huskies and Ducks hold the No. 4 and No. 2 scoring offenses, respectively. They’re also No. 2 and No. 4 in offensive efficiency, respectively.
Washington is joined in this week’s poll by No. 8 Oregon, No. 9 USC, No. 13 Washington State, No. 15 Oregon State, and No. 18 Utah.
