Washington’s move to the Big Ten was made official this past weekend, with the Huskies joining the Oregon Ducks (as well as USC and UCLA) in a move to the conference in 2024.

The Huskies may not geographically fit the B1G but fit perfectly from a football perspective. Washington holds a rich football history, is located in a major population area and has one of the best stadium atmospheres in the country. That, mixed with the B1G stamp, provides a major boon in recruiting for the Huskies moving forward.

On Sunday, Washington’s social media department curated a hype video regarding the Huskies’ imminent move to the B1G.

Despite the negatives that come with conference realignment – especially from a student-athlete’s perspective – the football on the field should be stellar moving forward. The Huskies facing the likes of Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State yearly or semi-annually should make for some fun football in the coming years.
