Washington reels in another commit with pledge from 3-star defensive lineman
The Huskies’ big weekend just continues to yield positive results.
Late Sunday night, Washington received a verbal commitment from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive lineman Sua Lefotu. The 3-star prospect was in town on an official visit and decided to pull the trigger, choosing the Huskies over interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Michigan State, among others.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Lefotu rates as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports. He doesn’t yet have a Composite rating, but expect that to change soon with his commitment. He’s the 139th-ranked defensive lineman in the class, according to 247.
An ACL injury cost Lefotu his sophomore season and his recruitment was a little slowed because of the more limited tape. But this spring and summer he’s seen his stock really pick up as he’s been out on the camp circuit.
Washington extended a scholarship offer only a couple of weeks ago and things moved quickly from there. His commitment gives the Huskies 12 now for the 2023 class. This is the sixth announcement from just this weekend.
