Washington is down a member of its running back room, at least temporarily.

According to multiple reports, Tybo Rogers has been suspended for violating team rules. UW offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb announced the suspension when asked about Rogers’ absence from practice, per Dan Raley of Inside the Huskies. Christian Caple of On Montlake confirmed the report.

The reports do not address the details of Rogers’ suspension. At this time, it’s not publicly known how long Rogers will be unavailable or what action(s) led to the suspension. Rogers is still listed on the Huskies’ online roster.

Rogers, who measures 5-11, 185 pounds, enrolled at Washington in the spring of 2023. A former Bakersfield (California) standout, Rogers was rated 3-stars, the No. 55 running back and No. 787 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. He chose Washington over scholarship offers from 13 other schools, including Arizona, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State.

While Rogers’ absence has fans concerned, the Huskies have depth at the position. Kalen DeBoer recently discussed the welcomed challenge of being able to find playing time for multiple backs.
