Washington opens as road favorite for top-25 matchup with USC
Washington is a four-point favorite over USC in Week 10.
The fifth-ranked Huskies (8-0, 5-0 Pac-12) head to Los Angeles to battle the 24th-ranked Trojans (7-2, 5-1 Pac-12). Washington can put one foot firmly through the door to the Pac-12 championship game with a victory. Similarly, USC can silence a great deal of critics with a win and re-establish itself as a player to be taken seriously in the conference race.
Vegas is expecting points. Lots of points. Early odds from Circa Sports set the over/under at 78.5 — the largest total of any game in the upcoming week.

Washington didn’t exactly separate from Stanford, but a week after winning a game without scoring an offensive touchdown, the Huskies got 42 points and four passing scores from Michael Penix Jr. — who was battling what appeared to be a serious illness.
This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2019. Washington took that game 28-14. UW hasn’t gone to L.A. for a game since 2015, and it is just 2-7 in its last nine trips.
Concerning the odds for the game, UW is 3-4-1 against the spread this season. The over has hit four times. The under has hit four times. UW hasn’t covered a spread since Sept. 23, which makes sense considering the run of close games they’ve had against seemingly inauspicious competition.
USC is even worse ATS this year. The over has hit eight times in nine games, but USC hasn’t covered a spread since Sept. 9 against Stanford. Overall, the Trojans are 2-7 against the spread.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
