Washington outlasted Oregon State 22-20 in its last game. The Beavers had one last drive to win the game and were stopped on downs as the Washington defense came up big. The win guaranteed that Washington will be playing in the Pac-12 title game.
The Cougars kept their bowl hopes alive with a 56-14 win over Colorado last Friday.
The Huskies are unbeaten at home under coach Kalen DeBoer.
They won last year’s meeting, 51-33, in Pullman. The series has been dominated by Washington historically; UW leads Washington State 75-35 all-time. It has also won eight of the last nine Apple Cups.
Michael Penix Jr. wil have another chance in the regular season to show why he deserves to win the Heisman. Penix had 162 yards passing with 3 total touchdowns against the Beavers.
Kickoff from Husky Stadium in Seattle will be at 1 p.m. PT on FOX.
