Washington held firm at No. 5 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

Following Week 11 action throughout the sport, the CFP selection committee revealed its updated rankings for the new week. The top five teams from a week ago remained the top five teams this week though Georgia is now the No. 1 team. UW sits behind Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State and Georgia.

As the season comes down the stretch, Michigan and Ohio State still have to play each other. Should UW keep winning, the top four figures to sort itself out. Washington picked up another résumé-boosting win on Saturday when it beat then-No. 18 Utah at home 35-28.

One week after giving up 42 points to USC, the Huskies recorded a safety, two interceptions, and pitched a second-half shutout. They gave up 306 yards in the first half, but only 76 yards in the game’s final 30 minutes.

Now, the attention shifts to a top-10 matchup with Oregon State on the road. The Huskies will face a Beaver squad that is looking to stay alive in the Pac-12 title race. From Washington’s perspective, this game could be crucial in securing a Playoff bid. Win big and it will be hard to ignore UW’s record. Lose, and UW might not be dead in the water just yet.

Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
