Washington loses QB commitment following hiring of Jedd Fisch
Washington experienced one quick decision on the recruiting trail after hiring Jedd Fisch.
Sunday evening, news began to break that the Huskies were luring Fisch away from his post at Arizona. He steps in to replace Kalen DeBoer, who left to take the Alabama job, as Washington prepares for the jump to the Big Ten in 2024.
With Fisch being confirmed as the new head coach, Washington’s quarterback commit for the 2025 recruiting class confirmed he will reopen his recruitment. That player is Jackson Kollock, a 3-star QB out of Laguna Beach High School in California.
“Due to the recent coaching changes and uncertainty surrounding Washington football, I would like to announce my decommitment,” wrote Kollock on social media. “I would like to thank all the coaches and staff members at UW for all the love and support. But with that being said, I would like to announce my recruitment is 100% open.”
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Kollock is a 3-star prospect and the No. 28 QB recruit for the 2025 recruiting class. While recruiting and roster changes are commonplace during coaching turnover, it will be interesting to see how Fisch addresses the position with the Huskies.
