Washington lands commitment from 5-star point guard in 2024 class
Washington has received a commitment from Napa (Calif.) Prolific Prep point guard Zoom Diallo.
It’s a massive win on the trail for coach Mike Hopkins and the Huskies, as Diallo is viewed as one of the very best recruits in the entire 2024 class. He’s a 5-star prospect and picked UW over USC, Gonzaga, and Arizona. He announced his commitment during a ceremony in his hometown of Tacoma on Saturday.

Diallo brings a 6-foot-4 frame with strong vision and exceptional versatility on the other end of the floor. He’s big and strong, not overly athletic, but switchable and adept in the pick-and-roll. The industry-generated 247 Composite has him ranked as the No. 24 overall recruit in the class and the No. 1 true point guard.
As a junior playing for Curtis Senior in University Place, Diallo was named the Washington Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 20.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.4 rebounds a game to lead the Vikings to a 28-3 record and a second consecutive Class 4A state title this past season.
He joins 3-star combo guard Casmir Chavis in the 2024 class for UW. You can see some of his highlight tape below:
