Washington freshman to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Washington hoops freshman Keyon Menifield entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Monday after just 1 season in Seattle, a week after tweeting that he would be staying with the Huskies. The star freshman earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team this past season and will now be heading elsewhere to play the remainder of his college career.
Menifield was Washington’s 2nd best 3-point shooter, a capable defender despite being undersized and a strong playmaker, not to mention efficient.

Menifield scored a season-high 27 points in Washington’s win over Oregon, Washington’s 2nd best win all season. He also played very well in a February loss to USC.
Menifield was a 3-star prospect out of high school, partially because of his size. He weighs just 150 pounds and stands at 6-1, but more than held his own against quality competition last season.
