Washington will begin its debut season in the Big Ten at home against Northwestern.

The Big Ten finalized dates for the full 2024 league schedule on Thursday. Opponents were already known, but now we have a finalized schedule. UW will alternate home and away throughout the course of its first year in the new league.

It’ll host Northwestern on Sept. 21. UW’s first Big Ten road game will be in Piscataway, New Jersey, against Rutgers on Sept. 28.

On Oct. 5, UW will welcome Michigan to Husky Stadium. It’ll face Iowa on the road on Oct. 12 before heading out on a bye. On Oct. 26, UW will face Indiana in Bloomington.

To open what looks like a challenging month of November, UW hosts USC at Husky Stadium on Nov. 2. It’ll then head to College Station to play Penn State on Nov. 9. UW hosts UCLA on Nov. 16.

On Nov. 30, Washington will meet Oregon at Autzen Stadium to close out the regular season. That game will mark the latest regular-season meeting between the two schools since 1922.

The Big Ten’s release states that some games throughout the conference could be moved to special dates (i.e., Labor Day Sunday, Black Friday). Washington’s nonconference schedule will be finalized soon, according to a release from the school. The yet-to-be-determined third game will slot into one of the open weekends (Sept. 14, Oct. 19, Nov. 23).
