Washington adds junior college safety Demario King to 2022 class
Demario King is going to be a Husky.
The junior college safety from Cerritos (Calif.) College announced on Twitter he has committed to UW. Part of the 2022 class, King chose Washington over offers from the two Arizona schools and Fresno State, telling 247Sports’ Scott Eklund that Washington has been his dream school since he was a child.

King finished up his sophomore season at Cerritos with 57 tackles, seven pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and a tackle for loss en route to earning Second Team All-Conference recognition at safety. Over his two seasons with the Falcons, he totaled 96 tackles, eight pass breakups, one TFL, an interception, and a forced fumble.
At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, it would seem King is a prime candidate to play in Washington’s hybrid nickel ‘backer position, ‘Husky.’ According to Eklund, the expectation is that King enrolls at Washington by Jan. 3, the start of winter quarter. He’s a three-for-two player.
