Washington has a new quarterback on its roster. Former San Diego State QB William Haskell has joined the Huskies as a transfer.

Haskell made the announcement on social media, sharing a note with the following:

“First, I would like to thank my team for their tremendous amount of support during this chapter of life. Without their sacrifice and support, I’m not sure any of this would have been possible.

“Throughout this recent journey, I have learned a lot of valuable lessons, and will continue to grow and work on improving everyday.

“I am super proud of myself for not giving up and pushing myself until I proved my worth.

“Graduating this past week with my Associates Degree in Arts will be a moment I will forever cherish.

“Next, I am excited to say that my recruitment is 1000% closed!!!!!

“I have found my new home.

“I have found a place where I can continue to grow and learn as a student and as an athlete.

“And a great university and coaches that have stood by me as I worked to prove to them that I want it as well.

“So, with that being said, Im humbled to announce that I am headed to…

“The University of Washington, go Dawgs”

Haskell saw limited playing in 2021 and entered the NCAA transfer portal in September 2022 during SDSU’s season. Originally from Glendale, Arizona, Haskell was a 3-star prospect in the Class of 2021. As a high school prospect, Haskell chose SDSU over Duke, Iowa State and others.
