Washington cleaned up in the Pac-12’s weekly performance awards after knocking off Oregon on Saturday, 37-34.

Husky quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week while kicker Peyton Henry earned the Special Teams POTW honor and center Corey Luciano earned Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Penix threw a 62-yard touchdown to Taj Davis down the left sideline in to tie the game at 34-all with 3:07 to play on Saturday. UW stopped Oregon on its next possession and then was gifted the ball at the Oregon 34-yard-line after a fourth-and-1 attempt from the Ducks saw their runner slip in the backfield. That directly led to Henry’s game-winning 43-yard field goal with less than a minute to play.

It was Henry’s second consecutive week kicking a go-ahead field goal in the game’s final minute.

Penix threw for 408 yards and two touchdowns as Washington stopped a 13-game losing streak against ranked Oregon teams. The last win was in 2002 when the Huskies beat No. 23 Oregon 42-12. Washington was 0-7 against top-10 Oregon teams.

Luciano helped pave the way up front. UW averaged over 9 yards a play. For the seventh time in 10 games this year, the line also kept Penix upright the whole 60 minutes. UW did not allow a sack, and only gave Oregon two tackles for a loss.

Coach Kalen DeBoer was also named the Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week for the win. It’s his second time claiming the honor this season.

Washington (8-2, 5-2 Pac-12) hosts Colorado (1-9, 1-6 Pac-12) on Saturday at 6 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
