Rece Davis gives his prediction for crucial game between Washington, Oregon State
Rece Davis can’t wait to see the conclusion of Washington-Oregon State in Week 12.
Davis said on the College GameDay Podcast this week he thinks the fifth-ranked Huskies will prove they are a real contender and stay undefeated. Saturday’s matchup with No. 11 Oregon State will have major Pac-12 title implications.
“I think this is a terrific game between two excellent football teams. … I’m gonna take Washington,” Davis said. “I’m gonna go ahead and bow down to Washington and say that they prove that they are real, remain undefeated.”
Davis expects the Huskies to win even though it feels like a game where the undefeated team won’t. He is taking Washington and the points in a road game in Corvallis. Oregon State is favored by one point heading into Saturday’s matchup.
“This just feels like one of those games that the undefeated team’s going to lose,” said Davis. “And yet for some reason, I’m going to say that they don’t. I’m going to take Washington and the points.”
This game was close last season. Washington earned the victory in a 24-21 win over the Beavers.
The only blemishes on Oregon State’s record thus far have been the loss to Washington State to open Pac-12 play and the defeat at Arizona.
This game will showcase two of the better teams in the Pac-12. Kickoff from Reser Stadium will be at 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
