Nick Taylor, former Washington golfer, wins Canadien Open with insane 72-foot eagle putt
Nick Taylor became the first Canadien since 1954 to win the Canadien Open Sunday evening, draining an insane 72-foot eagle putt to outlast Tommy Fleetwood.
Perhaps the most important putt of his career is also the longest made putt of his golfing career, doing so on the 4th playoff hole.
Pure insanity:

Taylor played at Washington from the 2007 season until the 2010 season and was the recipient of the 2010 Ben Hogan Award, given to the nation’s top collegiate golfer. He’s also a 3-time All-American, only the 2nd Husky to be honored 3 times.
Incredibly, Taylor’s 72-foot miracle putt was the longest made shot of the tournament this week by more than 14 feet.
The drought is finally over for Canada. Now, about Lord Stanley’s Cup…
