The Wolverines got off to a hot start, sitting on a 14-3 after the first quarter. However, the Huskies’ defense held the Wolverines to a field goal in the 2nd and scored a TD of their own.
At the half, Penix has thrown for 128 yards with 1 TD. Rome Odunze leads the way with 35 receiving yards, but McMillan has the team’s lone score.
The Huskies’ defense has held JJ McCarthy to just 81 passing yards while completing less than half of his passes. However, a few long runs by Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum have been the difference thus far. The Wolverines have already eclipsed 200 rushing yards after just one half of play.
