Jennifer Cohen, Washington athletic director, named to College Football Playoff selection committee
Jennifer Cohen was 1 of 3 new members appointed to the College Football Playoff selection committee on Wednesday afternoon.
Cohen is joined by Nevada athletic director Chris Ault and Miami (Ohio) athletic director David Sayler as new committee members. The trio replaces Wyoming AD Tom Burman, Colorado AD Rick George and former Penn State OL John Urschel.
“I am incredibly excited to join the College Football Playoff Selection Committee,” Cohen said in a press release. “I’d like to thank Bill and everyone associated with the CFP for this amazing opportunity. Serving on this prestigious committee is a great honor and I can’t wait to get to work to serve all who love college football.”
Cohen and the other new members will each serve 3-year terms, according to the announcement.

With George exiting, Cohen becomes the only sitting AD from the Pac-12 to be on the CFP selection committee. R.C. Slocum also has ties to the Pac-12 as his son, Shawn Slocum, is the special teams coordinator at Arizona State.
Cohen has been Washington’s athletic director since 2016. She is Washington’s 17th athletic director in program history.
Cohen’s term on the College Football Playoff selection committee will run through February of 2026.
