Jen Cohen buyout details emerge as AD leaves Washington for USC
Jen Cohen is officially set to become the next AD at USC. She will be leaving her position as Washington’s AD to work for another school in the Pac-12.
The details about her buyout from Washington started to come out on Monday as well. While the program mentioned how grateful it was for Cohen’s time with Washington in a recent press release, she will still owe the university money.
USA Today’s Steve Berkowitz reported that Cohen still owes $1 million to Washington to cover the contract buyout. Cohen owes that money to the university as a part of her old contract with Washington.
With USC hiring Jennifer Cohen as AD, per her contact with Washington, she will owe U-Dub a $1 million buyout.

Erin O’Connell will be the interim AD while Washington looks for Cohen’s successor. O’Connell has been with Washington since Cohen was hired as AD back in 2016. O’Connell was previously at Seattle Pacific University as its AD from 2009-2015.
Stay tuned for more updates about the recent hiring of Cohen at USC. Regardless, it looks like the Trojans are bringing a solid candidate to replace Mike Bohn.
