Jalen McMillan is feeling pretty good about the Washington offense entering 2023. He talked about it in a recent interview with PFF’s Max Chadwick.

McMillan had a breakout season in 2022. The Huskies’ wideout caught 79 receptions for 1,098 yards receiving with 9 touchdowns.

The only players who finished with more receiving yards in the Pac-12 than McMillan were former Arizona wideout Dorian Singer (1,105) and Washington teammate Rome Odunze (1,145). Singer has since transferred to USC.

With QB Michael Penix Jr. and Odunze returning for another season the Huskies offense will be a force. McMillan declared the offense as “the best in the country”.

“We have the best offense in the country for sure,” he said. “We have so much more in the tank. Last year, we didn’t even scratch the surface. Our potential is unmatched. I feel like nothing can stop us. So, let’s roll.”

Washington’s offense finished second in the country in offensive yards per game (515.8) in 2022, behind Tennessee (525.5). The Huskies were also second-highest scoring offense in the Pac-12 last season with 39.7 points scored each game.

After missing bowl season in 2021, Washington bounced back with an 11-2 record in 2022. Kalen DeBoer breathed some life into the Washington offense and should have his team ready to compete in the Pac-12 once again.
