Former Washington DB, NFL star placed on IR following practice injury
Former Washington defensive back Budda Baker was placed on IR by the Arizona Cardinals Monday afternoon.
Baker, who is entering his 7th season in the NFL, suffered a hamstring injury during practice last week and will now miss at least the next 4 games for the Cardinals.
And it certainly doesn’t come at a good time for Arizona. The Cardinals’ next four games are against Dallas, San Francisco, Cincinnati and Los Angeles (Rams), some of the better teams in the league. Especially Dallas and San Francisco.

The Cardinals are already without star QB Kyler Murray, who will be out until at least Week 5.
Baker’s is a big loss for the Cardinals, too. The 5-time pro bowler is coming off a season where he totaled 111 tackles and a pair of interceptions. Baker was named an All-Pro in 2017, 2020 and 2021.
