Michael Penix Jr. and Kalen DeBoer lead the 13th-ranked Washington Huskies (9-2, 6-2 Pac-12) into Martin Stadium on Saturday to battle the Washington State Cougars (7-4, 4-4 Pac-12) for the 114th playing of the Apple Cup.

ESPN’s College GameDay crew offered their picks on the affair to close out the traveling pregame show. It was nearly unanimous. Here’s how everyone picked:

  • Desmond Howard: Washington
  • Pat McAfee: Washington
  • AJ Hawk (guest picker): Washington
  • Lee Corso: Washington State
  • Kirk Herbstreit: Washington

Last year, the Cougars broke a seven-game losing streak in the series with a 40-13 win at Husky Stadium. The memories of Cougar fans and players celebrating on the Huskies’ home field are still fresh, and Washington is looking for some revenge on Saturday.

DeBoer’s nine wins so far are already the most by a UW coach in his first year with the program in school history. He already has a win over Oregon under his belt, and DeBoer would love nothing more than to get to double-digits with a second rivalry win.

Kickoff on Saturday is set for 7:30 p.m. PT on ESPN.
