Boo Corrigan made his weekly appearance on ESPN’s College Football Playoff Top 25 show after the Playoff committee unveiled its Week 12 rankings.

Washington, who entered the week at No. 5, is now No. 4 after a 24-22 win over Oregon State in Corvallis. Meanwhile, Florida State, who is now without Jordan Travis for the remainder of the season, is in No. 5 at the Huskies’ old spot despite a rout of FCS North Alabama.

Corrigan told Rece Davis why the Huskies moved into the Top 4 ahead of the Seminoles on Tuesday.

“It really was about what Washington did this past weekend, going up to Reser Stadium. Tough place to play,” the CFP committee chairman said. “Their defense has come around, has played well the last 6 quarters, giving up a total of 20 points. Again, you know it was a rainy day but in total, that’s what we’re looking at, and y’all were talking different data points. Watching games does matter, and as we looked at Washington over the course of the season, looked at Florida State this past week in Week 12 we decided to put Washington ahead.”

Did Travis’s injury against North Alabama have an impact?

“[It] didn’t have any impact as we’re watching the game,” Corrigan said. “Florida State starts off down 13, [Tate] Rodemaker comes into the game, they score 58 consecutive points. They’ve got a lot of dudes on the field, Rece. As we’re looking at it, that’s where we are this week, and anything beyond that would be projected.”
