Utah to play Big 12 team as nonconference opponent in 2024
For its first season in the Big 12, Utah has 9 conference games on the schedule. Thanks to prior commitments, the Utes will ultimately 10 teams from the Big 12 during the 2024 regular season.
Utah scheduled a home-and-home series with Baylor before joining the Big 12. The 2024 game remains on the schedule, but it will not count toward the Big 12 standings as a nonconference contest. Utah’s 2024 meeting with BYU, meanwhile, will be a conference game.
Utah’s previously scheduled home football game against Baylor on Sept. 14, 2024 will remain a non-conference contest for next season.

Utah defeated Baylor 20-13 in Waco on Sept. 9. The Week 2 contest was the first meeting between the 2 schools.
The Utes’ 2024 schedule includes Arizona, BYU, TCU and Iowa State at home, with road trips to Arizona State, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State and UCF. A return trip to Waco is on the schedule for 2025, along with road games at BYU, Kansas and West Virginia.
Utah has won the Pac-12 each of the last 2 seasons. The Utes enter Week 10 with a record of 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Kyle Whittingham’s squad is ranked No. 18 by the College Football Playoff selection committee.
