Utah advanced to the Super Regionals on Sunday after a win over Ole Miss. The Utes dealt with the Rebels via a 4-1 victory.

Utah was on the board early after an absolute moonshot by Karlie Davison that plated two runs with no outs in the bottom of the second inning.

The runs didn’t stop there. Another run was scored by Utah in the bottom of the second as Kendall Lundberg shot a single up the middle to increase the lead to 3-0.

Sometimes you need a blooper of a hit to score a run and that’s just what Aliya Belarde did to bring home the fourth and final run for Utah in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Mariah Lopez pitched all seven innings for the Utes. Lopez allowed six hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts.

The next opponent for Utah will either be San Diego State or Liberty. The Flames are on the brink of elimination after losing their first game to the Aztecs on Friday.

San Diego State will have to lose the next two games in order to be eliminated.

Fans can tune into the next game in the series between Liberty and San Diego State at 3 p.m. PT on ESPN+.
