Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe’s lockers are ready for Saturday’s game.

A hand-painted helmet with tributes to both men sits alongside a black jersey and black pants. Utah is going with a blackout for Saturday’s matchup with No. 7 USC. The program revealed what uniforms it’ll wear with the special tribute helmets in a video shared to social media on Thursday:

In 2020, Jordan made his on-field debut against the Trojans. The game ended in a USC victory, but Jordan flashed potential with seven carries for 32 yards that day. Over the final four weeks of the Utes’ season, Jordan ran for 565 yards at 7.4 yards per carry. That was the jumping-off point for what would have been a tremendous career.

Last season, Lowe was killed in late September after a game against Washington State. The Utes entered into a bye week with a decision to make — play the following week or not. The opponent Utah would face? USC. The Utes ultimately decided to honor Lowe’s memory and play, and they responded by handling the Trojans 42-26, winning in Los Angeles for the first time since joining the conference.

USC comes to Salt Lake City for Saturday’s battle. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. PT on FOX. It figures to be a memorable night. You can see more details photos of Utah’s ‘#22Forever’ helmets below.
