Utah reveals incredible uniform combination for the Rose Bowl
Utah is back in the Rose Bowl for the second consecutive season, but it’s bringing a different look to Pasadena this time around.
The Utes revealed their uniform combination for their Jan. 2 matchup with Penn State this week. Like last year, the Utes are rocking throwbacks with the interlocking Us on their helmets.
Unlike last year, Utah is donning red tops and red lids for a rosy look. The helmet also keeps with the tradition of the game, incorporating a rose into the team’s logo.

The Rose Bowl will be played on Jan. 2 in Pasadena at 2 p.m. PT on ESPN. It’ll be the first-ever meeting between the Utes and Nittany Lions.
Penn State went 10-2 this season, with its only losses coming to Michigan on the road and Ohio State at home. Both the Wolverines and the Buckeyes made it into the College Football Playoff.
The Utes will hope to avenge last year’s heartbreaking loss to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. That matchup produced one of the best entries in the storied game’s history, as Utah went back and forth with the Buckeyes in a wild 48-45 game. Utah quarterback Cameron Rising was injured late in the game and forced to the sideline. He’ll likely be hoping for a better ending this time around.
