Utah is a four-point favorite on the road this week against Baylor.

The Utes (1-0) downed Florida at home in Week 1 and now hit the road for a second consecutive Power Five nonconference clash. Baylor opened its season in disappointing fashion, though, with a 42-31 loss to Texas State at home.

Circa Sports has the over/under in the game set at 48.5.

As Utah prepares for Week 2, the status of its starting quarterback figures to once again dominate the discussion.

Kyle Whittingham said after Utah’s 24-11 win over Florida that Cameron Rising is expected to practice “with no limitations” this week.

Rising missed Thursday’s opener — ceding the starting spot to Bryson Barnes — as he works his way back from offseason ACL surgery.

“We want Cam back as soon as we can get him back, I can tell you that,” Whittingham said after Thursday’s game. “He hasn’t been cleared. They haven’t given the, ‘OK, you’re in,’ but he can practice with no limitations. That’s another step forward for him.”

The Baylor Bears allowed Texas State quarterback TJ Finley to throw for 298 yards and three scores while completing 22 of his 30 passes.

Kickoff between the Utes and the Bears is set for 9 a.m. PT on ESPN.
