Utah added a major piece to its 2023 roster on Sunday evening.

The Utes picked up a commitment from Florida State receiver transfer Mycah Pittman. He previously played for Oregon prior to joining the Seminoles.

Here’s his announcement:

Pittman was a revelation last season in his lone year with the Noles. He caught 32 passes for 330 yards and was a consistent part of FSU’s passing game all season long. He was expected to have a big role again in 2023 before he entered the portal.

Prior to playing at Florida State, Pittman spent 3 seasons at Oregon. He never topped 200 yards in a single season with the Ducks but was a frequent contributor as a reserve during his time in Eugene. He also battled injuries and didn’t record any statistics against Utah during that time.

Pittman joins a Utah receiving corps that returns its top 2 receivers from last season in Devaughn Vele and Money Parks. However, the Utes don’t have a lot of experience at the position beyond that duo and will need to replace production from top pass-catcher Dalton Kincaid.
