Utah earns commitment from highly-touted athlete out of Texas
Utah earned a new commitment in the class of 2024 on Sunday.
The Utes landed 2024 athlete Hunter Andrews. He chose Utah over offers such as Nebraska, Cal, Houston and Northwestern, amongst others.

Andrews has gone under-the-radar to this point in his recruitment. He does not currently have a 247Sport Composite ranking. However, that’s likely to change in the coming months as he has amassed numerous Power 5 offers since the spring.
He attends Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds.
Although Andrews is listed as an athlete, it appears Utah is recruiting him to play linebacker at the next level. Colton Swan, Utah’s linebackers coach, was Andrews’ primary recruiter.
Utah now has 5 commits in the class of 2024. The group is led by 4-star quarterback commit Isaac Wilson. Andrews is the first player from the Lone Star State to join Utah’s recruiting class so far this cycle.
