Sammie Hunter has found a home in the Pac-12. The Chandler (Arizona) standout defensive back is taking his talents to Utah.

Hunter took to social media on Saturday to announce his commitment to the Utes.

Hunter is listed as measuring 5-11, 175 pounds. He is rated 3-stars, the No. 18 player in Arizona and No. 96 cornerback on 247Sports. He does not have an industry-generated 247Sports Composite rating.

Kyle Whittingham’s staff beat out numerous programs to land Hunter’s commitment. Cal, Washington State, Iowa State, Bowling Green, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico State, Utah State and San Diego State all showed interest in Hunter. He had recently narrowed it down to Iowa State and Utah.
