Jaylon Johnson is expected to stay in Chicago with the Bears after requesting to be traded this past weekend.

The former Ute and star Bears cornerback has been one of Chicago’s top corners since being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. So far this season Johnson has totaled 15 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 pass deflections and 1 forced fumble.

Opposing quarterbacks simply don’t target Johnson’s receivers enough for the stats to be any better, which is just what you want from a starting CB.

According to a few reports, the Bears were asking for a high price for Johnson, who is in the final season of his rookie deal. Johnson is a candidate for the franchise tag, which could keep him in Chicago next season, too.
