Cam Rising is returning for yet another season with Utah football. The question is, how good are the future QBs for the Utes?

FOX college football analyst R.J. Young talked about the quarterback room other than Rising on his podcast ‘The Number One College Football Show’ on Friday.

Young highlighted how important Rising is to the success of Utah.

“This is tremendously important for Utah,” said Young. “He makes them go. When he went out with injuries in back-to-back Rose Bowls, Utah’s hopes of winning the Rose Bowl went with him. He’s also the reason they’ve won back-to-back Pac-12 Championships.”

When it comes to figuring out the depth Utah has at the quarterback position, this spring will be very important. Bryson Barnes, Brandon Rose, and Nate Johnson will all have a chance to prove themselves.

“We’re trying to figure out if Bryson Barnes, Brandon Rose, and Nate Johnson are good enough,” said Young. “I think that’s what this spring is about. I think this is where you find out who’s next up. Who can we even expect to come in and perhaps spell Cam Rising a little bit sooner in games we expect to put away?”

Does Utah have enough depth at QB if Rising deals with injuries again?
