While Covey only appeared on a handful of snaps with the offense as a rookie, he was the team’s leading punt returner with 33 returns for 308 yards this season. He also returned 10 kicks for 206 yards.
During his Utah career, Covey had 5 return touchdowns and over 2,000 yards receiving and 11 receiving touchdowns. Covey also recently addressed his career at Utah and credited the program for preparing him for the NFL.
We’ll see if he can rest up enough to play in the big game.
