Zachariah Branch injury status revealed ahead of USC-Notre Dame, per report
Zachariah Branch will be a “game-time decision” for USC against Notre Dame on Saturday, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Branch has proven to be a dynamic player for the Trojans as a true freshman. The Las Vegas native has made 13 catches for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns in 4 games thus far, with both a punt return and kick return for a touchdown to his credit.
But Branch hasn’t played in the last 2 games thanks to an unknown injury. Lincoln Riley has played things close to the vest regarding Branch’s status as well as the nature of his injury.
The Trojans are 6-0 after holding off Arizona in overtime in Week 6. While there are plenty of questions regarding the defense, the offense has been dominant — scoring at least 40 points in every game so far — and Branch has had a hand to play in that.
Kickoff between the Trojans and the Fighting Irish is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
