WATCH: USC's Tahj Washington outruns entire Colorado secondary for 61-yard score
Tahj Washington is fast. Like, really fast. He looked like he’d turn in a decent gain and then suddenly he split two Colorado defenders and had nothing but green grass in front of him.
In the third quarter of USC’s Friday night contest with Colorado, the Trojan receiver took a pass over the middle from quarterback Caleb Williams and simply outran the CU secondary for a 61-yard touchdown.

The score gave Washington his third straight game with a receiving touchdown — the best run of his career to this point. The redshirt junior had back-to-back 100-yard receiving performances entering Friday’s contest as well.
With an injury to star wideout Jordan Addison and then a coinciding injury to USC’s No. 2 receiver, Mario Williams, the Trojans needed guys to step up at receiver and Washington happily obliged.
Addison returned to the field against Colorado but was understandably limited. USC has proven in recent weeks its wideout group is more than just a man or two deep, though. Washington is establishing himself as a reliable playmaker.
