WATCH: USC drops game trailer for Week 2 matchup with Stanford
The Trojans’ Week 2 game trailer is here.
It features a narration from former USC wideout Deontay Burnett, a pregame speech from tailback Travis Dye before last Saturday’s game, coach Lincoln Riley telling his team “every week’s going to be a fight,” and, of course, a tree and an axe. The Trojans will look to cut down some wood on Saturday when they travel to Stanford Stadium to battle the Cardinal.
You can see the game trailer below:
The 10th-ranked Trojans opened their season with a 66-14 win over Rice last Saturday. The offense looked unstoppable at times as quarterback Caleb Williams completed 19 of his 22 passes for 249 yards and two scores.
USC got a bevy of playmakers involved on the offensive side of the ball, but it was the defense that put its mark on the game with four interceptions and three touchdown returns. The offense only ran 58 plays.
As USC prepares for Stanford, it’s readying for the potential the Cardinal try and limit the number of possessions to keep the ball away from Williams and the USC attack. Conversely, Stanford’s offense lit up the scoreboard itself in a 41-10 win over Colgate. With Tanner McKee quarterbacking the team, the Cardinal could feel they have a chance to match USC point for point.
We’ll see how things play out on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
