USC wideout Jordan Addison expected to play vs. Colorado, Lincoln Riley says
USC is expecting to have its top wideout back after a two-week absence this Friday.
Trojan head coach Lincoln Riley told reporters on Thursday he expects wideout Jordan Addison to play against Colorado after missing the previous two games with an undisclosed injury. Riley is also expecting linebacker Ralen Goforth to return to the lineup. He called wideout Mario Williams and linebacker Eric Gentry game-time decisions.

Addison and Williams are the Trojan’s top two wideouts so far this season. They’ve combined for 65 receptions, 1,078 yards, and 11 touchdowns on the year. Gentry was the defense’s leading tackler before suffering a lower-body injury in the Utah loss on Oct. 15. Goforth was injured in the same game.
Specifically on offense, the absences of Addison and Williams have opened up opportunities for other receivers on the two-deep. Guys have stepped up in major ways.
Kyle Ford had six catches for 114 yards and a score in USC’s 45-37 win over Arizona. Tahj Washington has back-to-back 100-yard performances — seven for 118 and two scores against Arizona, then seven for 112 and a score in the 41-35 win over Cal. Michael Jackson III followed up a four-touch, 72-yard performance against Arizona with a six-touch, 134-yard, two-score game against Cal.
Of course, Addison is the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation’s top receiver. With USC entering a closing stretch that includes top-25 matchups with UCLA on the road and Notre Dame to close out the regular season, getting Addison back and re-integrated into the offense this week will be beneficial.
